Tell us the Encino street and the symptom. A Bishop scheduler calls to set the time.
Around Encino, Bishop Chimney Care mostly sees sprawling ranch estates, custom homes with two or three fireplaces, and backyard fire features on the bigger lots. The house type changes what a chimney level 2 inspection report covers first, and our tech writes it up with that in mind.

Encino homes often have more than one fireplace on separate flues, so a single report covers several systems. We number each fireplace and flue at the top of the report and keep its photos and ratings together, which makes it easy to approve work on one without mixing it up with another.
Same inspection day
The names below share the Encino schedule. Steep roofs or locked gates? Note them when you book so the inspector plans access.
The visit takes in unedited flue video file delivered with the report, stills labeled by height above the damper, and attic, roof and flashing areas checked. Page one of the report repeats that scope, so a buyer, insurer or contractor reading it later knows what it covered.
Encino was close to the center of the 1994 Northridge earthquake, and many tall chimneys here were repaired rather than rebuilt. The camera often finds liner offsets above old patches, and we mark each one by its height. Late summer and early fall are the busy weeks. A spring visit leaves time to fix anything marked before the first cold night.
Our route includes Lake Balboa, Reseda, and Tarzana and ZIPs 91316 and 91436. If you sit on a boundary, send the address and we will confirm by reply.
If the report points somewhere else, these are the follow-ups we price for this city.

the eastern end of the Valley against the Verdugo foothills
Many Burbank houses still have the fireplace they were built with, and a report on one of them is often the first anyone has written. We start with the basics, liner type, damper condition and cap, and write each finding so a first-time owner can follow it without a glossary.

Sherman Oaks reports split cleanly in two. Houses on the flats tend to show masonry wear and older dampers, while the hillside homes often have factory-built fireplaces behind stone faces, and the report has to name the make and model before any repair can be priced.

A lot of our Studio City work arrives with a home sale attached, so the Level 2 report has to be clear enough for a buyer, a seller and two agents to read on a phone. Older homes on the flats often carry chimneys patched after 1994, and the camera shows whether those patches still hold.

Our Woodland Hills reports keep returning to the same three findings: clay tile liners with joints opened by the 1994 Northridge earthquake, crowns cracked on the hillside homes that face the sun, and rusted cap mesh. Each one gets a photo, a location and a plain rating, so you can see where your house sits against that pattern.

Canoga Park houses are mostly single-story, which lets us reach the chimney from the roof on nearly every visit and photograph the crown and cap directly. Reports here often find original dampers rusted in place and clay tile liners that have never been camera-checked.
Open this cityEach item we touch gets a photo and one of three ratings: safe to use, watch it, or fix before the next fire. For chimney level 2 inspection, that list starts with unedited flue video file delivered with the report, stills labeled by height above the damper, attic, roof and flashing areas checked.
Encino, CA sits on our regular route with Lake Balboa and Reseda. Same-day slots open up often, and the written report lands in your inbox the day of the visit.
Yes. The report is a plain PDF with the scope on page one and numbered photos after it, so anyone can open it. Owners in ZIPs 91316, 91436 often send it straight to escrow or to a contractor for a second bid.
